May honey is especially appreciated for its nutritional properties. This is the earliest type of honey, usually obtained from mid-May to early June from acacia flowers, fruit trees and spontaneous spring flora, and in our area (Straseni / Orhei region) these are early forest flowers, dogwood, hawthorn, blackthorn, wild rose, apple trees and pears (not treated by chemicals). In terms of quantitative composition, acacia still dominates in our May honey. Accordingly, it has all the properties of acacia honey plus the aroma, taste and benefits of first spring blossomig plants.
